If you have other questions that are not listed below, feel free to email or call me. Starting the process of counseling can be intimidating and stressful. I want to make sure to make the process as smooth as possible.
Where are you located?
My office is located in the lower level of my home in the Wedgwood/Meadowbrook neighborhood. The address will be provided once you've made an appointment.
Do you offer free, first-time consultations?
Yes, it can be very helpful for anyone in the midst of this decision-making process to have the opportunity to meet in person with a potential therapist. It enables you to get a sense of my personality and approach and a feel for our fit. I offer a free 20 minute, first-time appointment.
How long will I need therapy?
Your therapy will be goal-directed. It’s my priority to bring you to your goals expertly and efficiently. I can provide a more specific therapy timeframe at your consultation appointment. Generally speaking, many issues can be addressed in 10 sessions or less.
What are your office hours?
I see clients in the afternoons and evenings M-Th and 10-6 on Fridays. Many clients prefer not to have a regular, reoccuring appointment time but it is an option.
What about confidentiality?
Psychotherapy is protected health information that is safeguarded by federal HIPPA regulations. Please open my Notices of Privacy Practices and Disclosure Statement on the Forms page for more information about record keeping, disclosures, and your rights.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, I am an in-network provider for Aetna, Premera, Regence, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Kaiser Permanente (some plans), Providence, United Health, HMA, First Choice, and Tricare.
